Kitchen counter smells

How should I do when an unpleasant smell emanates from the water pipe under the counter in the open kitchen shortly after all the windows in the house are shut?

The water pipe under the kitchen counter tends to accumulate some dirt and grime and give off a funny smell and it is easily blocked up once you are not paying attention!

The method for cleaning up the water pipe under the counter can be roughly divided into two steps. First, a trick can be offered to you if the pipe is blocked. Blow hot air into the pipe using a hair dryer until it is heated; next, pour some hot water into the pipe and the blockage will flow down with it.

Here is another method you could try. It is said that the pipe is not blocked anymore if you mix vinegar with baking soda and pour it—preferably a large amount—into the pipe. Next, regarding cleaning and disinfection of the water pipe, the method for disinfecting it is very simple. Pour a moderate amount of laundry bleach into the water pipe and after one night, not only does it eliminate the stench from the pipe but it also has a disinfection effect.
